Permanent - Full time
Competitive Salary Based in Lewes, East Sussex

Hours of work: start between 7am and 7.30am, and finish between 3pm and 4pm, depending on start time.

  • There is a 30 minute lunch break
  • And a 20 minute paid break.

Summary
Our client is a wide world leading Manufacturer in the public transport industry, All design and development and the majority of production, is carried out in their excellent working environment based in Lewes**.**

Growing with speed our client have had significant increase in sales over the last 3 years which is having a direct impact on the operational Teams, there for they are looking for a talented Sign Build Operator with Enthusiasm and hard working ethics.

The Sign Build Team are an integral part of the success of growing the business, they will need someone who is committed to process enhancements, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities required for the Sign Build Operator;
Products

  • Critical quality requirements are maintained
  • Build times and KPI's are achieved and bettered
  • To assist in other areas of production as instructed according to the needs of the business.

Personal:

  • Good, tidy organization of work place and assembly methods
  • Contribution to company teamwork policy and ethos
  • Flexible approach to daily duties and training
  • Ability to maintain consistent KPI results
  • To ensure tools supplied are looked after and used responsibly
  • To have a good work ethic and positive approach to all tasks
  • To attend and contribute to improvement meetings as required

Health and Safety:

  • When required, operate materials handling equipment such as pallet trucks following health and safety procedure at all times.
  • To follow the Health & Safety guidelines as detailed in the Staff Handbook
  • Ensure work areas are kept safe and hazard free and report any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to supervision.

Preferred Skills

  • Attention to detail
  • Good hand skills and eyesight
  • Capable of understanding and following the relevant procedures, standards and
  • engineering documentation
  • Experience of using hand tools (crimp tools, wire strippers, powered screwdrivers)
  • Experience of cable preparation and crimping
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and able to use own initiative
  • Knowledge of company systems and policies
  • A thorough awareness of any safety issues
  • May be required to inspect or test product accordingly
  • Preferred - IPC/WHMA-A-620 Training on Acceptability of Cable & Wire Harnesses
