Fit Out Buyer – Liverpool - £40,000 - £60,000 & Bonus

My client area specialist D&B fit out and refurbishment contractor based in the Liverpool. They require an experienced Buyer to join their existing commercial team. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services required for commercial design and fit-out / refurbishment projects.

You will ensure that all purchases are made at the best value, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time. You will work closely with the operational teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to support the successful execution of our projects.

Duties

  • Source and purchase materials, equipment, and services for commercial interior design and fit-out / refurbishment projects.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best value.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and manage supplier contracts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely deliveries to meet project schedules.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with project specifications, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products that can enhance project outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, and invoices in a timely manner.

The Person

  • Qualification within purchasing, supply chain would be advantageous
  • Experience as a Buyer in the construction industry, preferably in commercial interior design and fit-out projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards is a plus

Salary:

  • £40,000 - £60,000 (DOE)
