Mitchell Adam are excited to announce their continued collaboration with an established organisation in the retail sector. This organisation is looking to bring on a talented and intelligent Junior Financial Analyst into their newly renovated offices in Worcester. This business has grown a tremendous amount in recent years and are hoping to bring on an individual that they can help develop, their aims are to provide a strong foundation for progression which includes a strong study support package for those aspiring accountants. The organisation offers a brilliant hybrid working style which sees employees being able to work from home up to three days a week once they have finished their probationary period. As a Junior Finance Analyst, you will be producing comprehensive reports using Microsoft Excel and also on a variety of bespoke and mainstream accounting software. The organisation is looking for an individual with experience with month end accounting, including variance analysis, posting journals and completing reconciliations.

This organisation has become a household name in their sector, their progression and development within their industry has been impressive and has proven to be sustainable. They have recently invested in their West Midlands wing of the organisation and believe there are some fantastic opportunities for its staff within this region. This business are seeking to improve their understanding of their operations, they believe that increasing the size of their analytical branch will help improve their fundamental insight and help provide stronger insight and subsequently better their decision making processes. They are looking for an individual with an existing level of accounting experience to join the organisation and produce reports and provide insight to senior management.

Skills Required

  • As a Junior Finance Analyst you will be provided some freedom and some autonomy at times, it is important to be able to be confident in your own abilities, as occasionally you will be producing reports independently.
  • To have prior experience with month end accounting tasks, such as posting journals, completing reconciliations on the balance sheet and working with the P&L.
  • To be either currently studying for your ACCA or CIMA qualification, or to already have passed a number of examinations in one of these qualifications.
  • To be confident and charismatic. There will be business partnering aspects of this role as you develop, it is important to be able to communicate in an effective manner.
