Finance Director

  • Salary: Circa £70,000 (dependant on experience)

We are seeking a Finance Director for an established, innovative, and forward-thinking company. The ideal candidate will be a registered Chartered Accountant (ACA) with aspirations for long-term growth within the company. This role offers a diverse set of responsibilities and the chance to work closely with the Company Finance Director and CFO, providing a fantastic opportunity for skill development through interaction with management and operational teams.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Accountable for operational control of the region, providing leadership in financial activities and key operational areas.
  • Develop and maintain financial control systems, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance across EMEA.
  • Support robust financial planning and budgeting in collaboration with the CFO and senior managers.
  • Manage financial processing and management accounting functions within head office.
  • Oversee finance activities, working on major transactions and managing cash flows.
  • Provide accurate finance and operational reporting and analysis to C-Level executives.
  • Develop KPIs for business decision making, focusing on improvement and transparency.
  • Lead and support the finance team, fostering growth in technical and soft skills.
  • Implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
  • Handle cash flow, reconciliations, VAT, Tax, and invoicing activities.
  • Perform month-end management accounts, including bookkeeping and reconciliations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (ACA) registration preferred.
  • Financial management experience, with at least 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounting is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to meet reporting deadlines with a "can do" attitude.
  • Experience in management accounts or practice environment.
  • Experience working with multi-currencies.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, SUMIFs, and VLOOKUPs.
  • Telecommunications product knowledge is preferable.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
