Project Manager

Working for a market leading design and manufacturing facility for target acquisition and joint fires systems, to include sensors, surveillance systems and motion control systems.

Position Expectations

The Sales & Marketing Operations (S&MO) Project Manager is responsible for managing key projects to deliver those projects to the customer on time, to quality and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • The coordination, proactive management, completion and delivery of assigned projects on time, within scope and to cost.
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned project delivery.
  • Set and manage deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and manage progress of assigned projects and prepare scheduled reports.
  • Prepare reports for management regarding status of assigned projects.
  • Liaise with operations for lead time estimates and production schedule updates for customers.
  • Prepare cost and price build-up analysis using data in the company's MRP and cost models
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Familiarity with contemporary ground-based Surveillance Target Acquisition & Reconnaissance (STAR) technology and products would be ideal, as well as an understanding of current concepts, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs), resulting in sound market intelligence and customer requirements to support bids & proposals.

Skills, know-how and experience required:

  • Demonstrable experience in a relevant Engineering discipline (mechanical, electro-optics, software, systems architecture, etc)
  • Proven track record in project management within that Engineering discipline
  • Budget management and cost control
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Experience with project management software tools
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is highly desirable
