We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate Year 2 Teacher to join our friendly and vibrant team in Accrington. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT to make a difference in the lives of young learners, helping them reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to Year 2 pupils, following the national curriculum.
- Plan and prepare engaging and creative lessons that inspire and motivate pupils.
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, providing feedback and setting targets for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives and ensure a positive school culture.
- Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusion, and diversity.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals to support pupil development.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school events.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience of teaching in KS1 or a strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum.
- A passion for teaching and commitment to raising standards for all learners.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to the wider school community.
