Are you a dynamic, driven Senior Sales Manager looking for an exciting role to work in an international business with a growing company? If you are looking for a position where your goal is to generate new business and manage existing clients in the UK, USA, and other specified areas then this role may be for you. This role is focused on promoting product offerings in the Oil & Gas and Offshore markets and working closely with the Business Development and Service departments to enhance product and solutions portfolio. This role also has line management responsibility for a small team.
Day-to-day duties of the role:
- Seek out, promote, market and sell products and services into new and existing accounts.
- Handle new sales enquiries as distributed by the Group Sales Director.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels with nominated customers.
- Liaise with and manage the process flow with the Technical Services Department to ensure excellent service provision.
- Provide sales support to key customers, ensuring prompt follow-up of all sales and service requests to maximise loyalty and customer retention.
- Provide quotations within company guidelines as agreed with the Group Sales Director.
- Maintain a dynamic sales database with new leads and quotes.
- Draft and maintain account plans for key customers and territories.
- Produce sales budgets, forecasts, and reports as required.
- Ensure contracts and purchase orders are issued and signed by the customer in a timely manner.
- Participate in market initiatives within the Sales team to maintain and increase customer awareness of company products and services and generate new leads.
- Build and maintain knowledge of the company's products to effectively promote all offerings.
- Participate in sales-related activities such as exhibitions and seminars.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and retain a minimum of SC security clearance within the UK.
- Strong customer focus and high commercial awareness.
- Minimum of 3 years team management experience.
- Deep knowledge of and experience in selling maritime NAVCOM solutions.
- High degree of computer literacy, including proficiency in MS 365 toolset.
- Ability to multi-task and produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
- Flexibility around working hours; this role includes extensive travel and is not a standard 9-5 job.
- Ability to think outside the box and comfortable presenting to both engineers and C-suite executives.
