Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and driven Kitchen Porter, to join our Catering team within our Angel Hill division. This role will be based on a very well-known prestigious client's site in Dunstable and will report to the Manager on site.
To work as a team responsible for checking deliveries and quality of goods.
To comply with company and client policies of quality and standards of excellence at the unit.
What are the main responsibilities of the role
- To comply with company and client policies of quality and standards of catering at the unit, with a group of commitment to excellence policy.
- To carry out all aspects within the kitchen and stores area ensuring that company standards is met.
- Maintain unit health and safety, and hygiene standards following current legislation.
- Ensure personal appearance, including uniform, are of the highest standard at all times in line with company policy.
- Receive and check deliveries and relocate them to the appropriate storage area, ie fridge, freezer etc.
- Assist in preparation of vegetables when required.
- To ensure that all clients and customers are dealt with promptly and courteously according to company standards.
- To check accuracy of deliveries.
- To record the deliver temperatures, where applicable, and reject if necessary according to regulations.
- To store all deliveries as quickly as possible in relevant areas using stock rotation methods.
- To keep the delivery area clean and tidy and free from waste.
- To secure access to delivery area at all times.
- To wash all hand wash items.
- To monitor the Use of chemicals and report any low stock items to the Chef/Manager.
- Complete general kitchen cleaning duties as per rota.
- Sweep and scrub/mop kitchen floor.
- To deal with basic paperwork.
- To participate in all arranged company training to improve personal development both in the job and within the company.
- To perform any other duties which may be reasonably required by your Line Manager or the company.
- Maintain full compliance with ISO 9002 requirements for which you have a responsibility.
