Role: Financial Sustainability Consultant

Location: Bristol or London

Duration: 6 months minimum - Travel provider locations will be a necessary part of the role, although will be variable depending on business need

Day rate: Salary - £63,386 to £79,332 DOE

Experienced Financial Consultant sought for a public sector organisation based in the South West of England and/or London, on an interim basis for a period of six to twelve months.

You will be experienced in making recommendations where financial management requires improvement. You will be responsible for aiding the delivery of and advising on significant savings through designing more streamlined and effective services.

The Financial Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing of financial/other data and modelling output relating to individual providers
  • Review of financial/other data and modelling output relating to individual providers
  • Provide expert financial advice in relation to market exit risks at relevant providers
  • Engage with and review the quality of management and governance of providers as it relates to the management of provider financial viability and sustainability
  • Engage appropriately with relevant stakeholders, including government, funders, lenders, auditors, advisors etc, where appropriate
  • Share knowledge and experience with colleagues across the organisation, particularly linking financial investigatory work into other regulatory conditional risk assessments.

The ideal candidate for Financial Consultant the role should ideally have:

  • Stakeholder management
  • Qualified Accountant and financial management (essential)
  • Auditing/ financial interrogation
  • Senior Management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relationship management
  • A strong track record of successfully delivering change
  • A record being able to hit the ground running and make a huge impact
  • Ability to react to external factors to mitigate risk and maintain delivery
  • Ability to think commercially.
