An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor / Lawyer with a passion for Property Litigation, Civil Litigation, and Contentious Probate to join our client's Dispute Resolution Department. The ideal candidate will be someone who places exceptional client service at the core of their practice and possesses strong business development skills.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Manage a diverse caseload including contested probate, trusts of land, construction, and general civil litigation.
  • Provide commercial and strategic advice to clients, ensuring a high level of service.
  • Conduct cases with a hands-on approach, including drafting statements, witness evidence, undertaking disclosure, and liaising with experts.
  • Advise on, and engage in, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and settlement negotiations.
  • Work closely with team members to deliver results and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and referrers, contributing to the firm's growth through business development activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A qualified solicitor with 3+ years post-qualification experience (PQE) in litigation.
  • Technically strong with a proven track record in a range of commercial litigation disputes.
  • Skilled in managing the day-to-day conduct of cases.
  • Experience in key areas of litigation, including drafting legal documents, disclosure, and interim applications.
  • An interest in business development and marketing, with the aim of building a client base.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with peers, clients, and referrers.
  • A strong team player with a self-motivated and ‘can-do' attitude.
  • Openness to innovation and a willingness to adopt new ways of working to improve efficiency.
