Alderley Park Recruitment are currenly looking to recruit a UX Designer Lead / IT Director for our notable Finance (Healthcare Sector) client. The role is permanent on a hybrid working model (Minimum one day per week in the office) and is paying a salary of £100,000 - £150,000 per annum dependent on experience.
Role Overview:
This dual leadership role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing the IT function while driving the UX design for our digital products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating seamless user experiences and ensuring that our IT infrastructure supports both business objectives and regulatory compliance. A blend of strong commercial, technical, and leadership skills is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
UX Design:
- Lead the design and development of customer-centric user interfaces for Chrysalis Finance's web and mobile platforms.
- Conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, and design user-friendly interfaces that meet the needs of diverse customer groups.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure alignment between UX solutions, business goals, and customer needs.
- Maintain consistency with the Chrysalis brand across all digital touchpoints and continuously improve the user experience based on analytics and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations while delivering engaging, intuitive, and functional designs, particularly for financial services platforms.
IT Leadership:
- Define and implement the IT strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's growth objectives and supports the integration of digital payment solutions.
- Oversee the management of IT operations, including infrastructure, cloud services, software, and security, ensuring compliance with FCA, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
- Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the digital transformation of Chrysalis Finance by implementing emerging technologies and ensuring system efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with external vendors and technology partners to deliver high-quality services, maintain our MY SQL database, and manage PHP and Yii2MVC-based systems, alongside a Bootstrap 5 front end.
- Provide IT expertise, ensuring data protection, cybersecurity measures, and scalability are prioritised in all tech operations.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Extensive IT leadership experience, preferably in finance, fintech, or e-commerce sectors.
- Proven track record in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centred designs for digital platforms.
- Proficiency in UX design tools and working knowledge of front-end technologies.
- Experience working with MY SQL databases, PHP, Yii2MVC frameworks, and Bootstrap 5 for front-end development.
- Solid understanding of IT security protocols and data protection regulations within regulated environments like financial services.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex IT concepts into clear, actionable strategies for stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of financial services or fintech, with experience in payment solutions or consumer credit being highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
