Hays have partnered with a city-based insurance firm who are looking to hire an Accounts Assistant - AR & Cash for a maternity replacement. The successful candidate will work within a busy accounts department, supporting and reporting to the Finance Manager UK. This role will be responsible for both AP and AR. You will be joining a close-knit team of 8.
Responsibilities
- Entry of Sales Invoices to the client account within the Accounts Receivable (AR) Ledger, with correct allocation to revenue accounts.
- Creation and Entry of Intercompany recharge Invoices to Group account within AR Ledger
- Monthly Sales Analysis Journals
- Monthly Reconciliation and revaluation of AR Ledger
- Review & Adjustment of Time Entries Prior to Billing
- Monthly reporting of Accounts Receivable position to Finance Manager/Operating Group
- Maintain SOP documentation
- Assisting with Internal & External Audits
- Ad-hoc projects
- Cash & Cash Equivalents
- Weekly Payment report generation & processing for Supplier payment
- Weekly payment report generation & processing for employee reimbursement.
- Processing of Daily Bank transactions
- Daily & Monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Review & processing of Corporate Card statements
- Monthly & Quarterly Treasury Reporting to HO
- Maintain SOP Documentation
- Assisting with Internal & External Audits
- Ad-hoc projects
What you'll need to succeed
- Immediately available or 1 week's notice.
- Previous experience working within a finance team in an insurance company
