At Pukka Pads, we are seeking an outgoing, confident, and motivated business development co-ordinator to join our fast growing and fun team based in Poole, Dorset. You will assist our business development manager in driving lead generation and expanding the business, conduct market analysis, initiate contact with prospects, generate leads and sales, maintain relationships with existing clients complete a range of administrative duties.

The ideal candidate will have a 'can do' attitude, and be willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in to all aspects of the role. They will be confident, outgoing, and hungry to win business.

To excel in this role, you will be expected to plan and attend our range of trade events throughout the year (both within the UK and overseas). So, you must have excellent people skills, and be comfortable pitching and presenting to customers regularly in person, on the phone and via email.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and implementing sales strategies and identifying new markets to enter.
  • Conducting market research to identify new business development opportunities.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Coordinating and arranging client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences.
  • Assisting with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective clients.
  • Writing and distributing agendas, proposals, cost estimates, and briefing documents for internal and external meetings.
  • Creating and maintaining client databases and mail lists.
  • Providing effect administrative support.
  • Assist the BDM in planning, preparing, executing, and attending our trade events throughout the year.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess strong networking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Must be willing and able to travel nationally and internationally when required, with overnight stays.
  • Hold a full UK drivers license and valid passport
  • Have an excellent customer service manner, over the phone and via email.
  • Be outgoing and confident when talking to new and existing clients.
  • Ability to speak another language is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in a customer service and or sales role is advantageous, however, it is more important to possess the right personality & attitude for the role.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.
