Acorn by Synergie has an exciting vacancy for a Buyer on a 6 month temporary contract join the team for an established manufacturing firm based in North Devon.
The purpose is to support the plant in fulfilment of parts sourced externally, by utilising existing or establishing new cost effective, reliable, sustainable, and robust supply chains.
Key responsibilities:
- Procure materials as per MRP requirements
- Prepare, monitor and analyse planning parameters and key metrics
- Promote data accuracy to ensure quality of data
- Support expenditure control
- Resolve supply shortages
- Initiate and support transition projects
- Analyse supplier performance and spend
- Build strong, lasting relationships with suppliers
Experience required:
- Advanced in Microsoft packages
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Data driven with experience in data analysis and extraction
- Experience within Aerospace or Automotive is desirable
- CIPS qualified or working towards is desirable
