Pure are delighted to be working exclusively with a well established organisation based in Chelmsford who are looking for a Transport Manager to join their team.
Main Duties:
- Measure, manage and communicate KPIs, metrics and report exceptions.
- Provide day-to-day support during the rollout/implementation of newer systems/processes.
- Responsible for compliance with company and statutory requirements regarding Operator License, H&S, service quality, drivers' hours, and tacho regulations, inclusive of the working time directive and supporting with HR requirements such as absence, timekeeping
- Day-to-day, you will deal with all driver-related issues ensuring that all transport legislation is always adhered to ensuring fleet and driver compliance through active monitoring and reporting.
- Route planning for drivers; scheduling, monitoring & regulatory compliance, problem solving, checking documentation
- Maintenance of vechiles
- To liaise with Depot Management and others in the transport team on a daily basis with regards to transport issues.
- Helping with dispatching and marshalling of pallets and orders at peak times
Key Requirements:
- Must have Transport Manager experience
- A background operating at a management level is a must
- Transport CPC – desirable
- A passion for encouraging teamwork
- Excellent team management skill for developing you team
- Flexibility to cover a variety of shift patterns when needed
