Senior Paraplanner
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
We are seeking a Paraplanner who is not only adept at providing support to a team of advisers but also possesses the skills to train and mentor a team of Paraplanners. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with enhancing and streamlining technical research and report writing processes to increase team efficiency.
Day to Day of the role:
- Review and enhance technical research, report writing processes, systems, and procedures to boost team efficiencies.
- Manage the training, coaching, and mentoring of all Paraplanners and Technicians, including induction and ongoing support.
- Oversee processes and tasks, ensuring adherence to FCA and compliance regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK financial products, legislative changes, and compliance requirements, updating suitability letter templates as needed.
- Ensure client records and fact finds demonstrate the suitability of advice and are accurate and current.
- Conduct technical research and analysis to support Financial Advisers and meet client objectives.
- Prepare cashflow modelling reports for client retirement planning.
- Draft suitability letters for a variety of advice types and financial solutions, ensuring timely issuance with all necessary documentation.
- Assist Financial Advisers with notes for client presentations and, where relevant, accompany them to client meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Paraplanning role, with a focus on training and mentoring.
- Strong understanding of financial products and the UK marketplace.
- Knowledge of current budget, legislative, industry, and compliance changes.
- Experience in preparing cashflow modelling and suitability letters.
- Ability to conduct detailed technical research and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to maintaining high compliance standards in line with FCA regulations.
