Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a flexible part-time role? We have an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in Great Bridge. This role offers flexibility with hours and the potential for a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Group Accountant Manager with monthly procedures, including month-end processes, VAT returns, and quarterly management reports across 11 companies.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly management accounts and year-end financial statements.
- Complete purchase ledger reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting in the financial accounting system.
- Collate and submit VAT returns and prepare month-end sales updates.
- Update cash collection targets for review and monitoring.
- Analyse and post receipts/payments for monthly credit card statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management charges.
- Monitor monthly sales for customer rebates and reconcile purchases for supplier rebates.
- Maintain the fixed asset register.
- Prepare monthly bank balance reports.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.
- Experience using SAGE 50 is essential.
- Proficient in MS Excel with strong data management skills.
- Experience in general accounting tasks such as nominal, sales, and purchase ledger (preferred).
- Previous experience in credit control and cash management (preferred).
- Ability to accurately record and classify fixed assets (preferred).

The Role Details?
- Location: Great Bridge
- Contract: Temporary to Permanent
- Hourly Rate: £14 per hour
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 30 hours per week (Flexible between 8am-5pm)
