Accounts Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for a well-established business in Blackburn who are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager/Supervisor to join them and support the Financial Controller in the preparation of the monthly reporting pack. This business is a diverse and ever-changing environment, so is a good place to gain overall responsibility to produce the accounts up to trail balance level.

Duties as Accounts Manager will include: -

  • Monitor the nominal ledger coding and subsequent reconciliations
  • Support the invoicing of both sales and purchase ledger processing
  • Accruals/Prepayments
  • Responsible for intercompany re-charges and transactions
  • Work closely with the invoice factoring company and monitor closely the cashflow
  • Produce month end reports around internal expenditure, debtors/creditors and labour variances
  • Bank postings and reconciliations
  • Responsible for the cash book journals and multi-currency accounts
  • Collate the weekly payroll ready for processing
  • VAT/Tax returns as well as payment of PAYE

We are looking for an experienced individual who is looking to join a business where you are valued and wish to assist with all elements of the month end reporting. Your approach will friendly and conscientious as we are looking for team players who can work closely with the FD/MD and be flexible in their approach to work and levels of personnel. This is fully office based so commuteable to Blackburn is a must.
