Group Reporting Consolidation Accountant

Alexander Daniels Limited is seeking a dynamic Group Reporting Consolidation Accountant to join their client in Walsall.

As the Group Reporting Consolidation Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing the group's consolidation and financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and driving process improvements across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
Consolidation & Financial Reporting:

  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with IFRS.
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial close processes.
  • Utilise consolidation tools (e.g., Hyperion, SAP BPC, Cognos) to streamline the consolidation process and improve reporting efficiency.

FP&A:

  • Develop, manage and maintain the current Power BI platform used in Finance
  • Collaborate with other functional teams to enhance and develop the use of Power BI reporting
  • Provide standard reports as timetabled and other analysis and reports as and when required that deliver proactive insights and recommendations
  • Develop Power BI dashboards using financial metrics and KPIs to give a clear view of business performance

Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal reporting standards across all group entities.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Monitor changes in IFRS and implement any required adjustments to the group's financial reporting.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements in the group reporting and consolidation process to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Provide recommendations for system enhancements and support the finance team in adopting best practices.

Collaboration & Support:

  • Work closely with finance teams across the group to ensure consistency in financial data and reporting.
  • Act as a key point of contact for group reporting issues, providing guidance and support to subsidiary finance teams.

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant
  • Extensive experience in group reporting, consolidation, FP&A and financial analysis, ideally within a multinational organisation.
  • Proficient in the use of consolidation tools (e.g. OneStream, Hyperion, SAP BPC, Cognos).
  • Experience developing databases and tools to manage and interpret large volumes of complex data using Power BI,
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and its application in group financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Renumeration:

  • Salary £65,000 to £75,000 )DOE)
