Main Purpose of the job:
To provide a comprehensive specialised technical service to ensure that potential legal disrepair, statutory nuisance, structural repairs, and insurance claims against Lewisham Council are dealt with professionally and as expeditiously as possible.
Tomanageandmonitorworksinrelation with legal disrepair cases, structural issues, and insuranceschemes.
Toprovide technical andsurveyingsupport tothewider departmental teams.

Summary of Responsibilities and Personal Duties :
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate with tenants and their representatives' access arrangements,to carry out appropriate inspections and produce detailed reports with photographic evidence, a Scott schedule/ specification of work itemised from the schedule ofrates orusingcomposite values.Prepare estimates, feasibility studies, plans, sketches, drawings, and photographs as may be necessary.
- Tocarryoutpre/postinspections to identify repairs/defects and potential improvements. To prepare specifications and estimates as when required.
- Attend properties tocarry out appropriate inspections andprovide advice totenants ona range of health and housing issues. Maintaining proper records of visits and inspection findings, making recommendations to senior managers on any areas needing further actions.
- Work independentlyandmanageavariablecaseloadinrelationtodisrepairand insurance.
- Toinvestigate, monitor andmanage works inrelationtodisrepair issues, structural repairs, and insurance works.
