The Opportunity

Our client is looking for a skilled Site Engineer to join their team and take on a vital role in delivering a range of challenging projects. The role involves providing site engineering support across multiple projects, including Highways & Infrastructure, Residential & Commercial Buildings, Drainage Improvements, Piling, and Earthworks.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environment:

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and legal requirements
  • Actively promote environmental and safety best practices on-site
  • Safeguard the safe delivery of all project activities

Quality Assurance:

  • Uphold high standards of workmanship, ensuring defect-free delivery
  • Adhere to company procedures and encourage best practices across the team
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for value engineering

Site Engineering:

  • Establish Level and Survey Control for all assigned contracts
  • Set out works according to contract drawings, performing regular accuracy checks
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of set-out information for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Conduct As Built Surveys throughout project phases
  • Quickly resolve any unexpected technical challenges that arise
  • Keep detailed Site Diaries, Work Records, and Timesheets up to date

Performance Targets:

  • Accurate and timely setting out of works
  • On-schedule handover of works with no outstanding defects
  • Consistent production of accurate records, drawing registers, and weekly site diaries

Key Relationships:

  • Foster strong working relationships with the Customer's Workforce and Technical Representatives

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

  • Demonstrated experience in setting out for Civil Engineering projects
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and relevant regulations
  • Survey Equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated, results-focused, with a proactive approach
  • Valid clean driving license

Desirable:

  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • CSCS card holder
  • First aid certification
