Accounts Assistant

Based in Slough, Berkshire our client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their growing team on a permanent basis, with the flexibility to work 1-2 days at home to a local candidate.

This role would suit someone with previous experience within an accounting role to be responsible for purchase ledger, sales ledger responsibilities and general administration including processing invoices, credit control and assisting with queries.

This company is a leading name within their industry with a turnover of circa 5million.

The successful individual will have excellent communication skills to be able to liaise effectively across the business. They must be highly organised with great admin skills. Good IT skills, especially Excel, is essential.

Job responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and updating the Purchase Ledger.
  • Preparing and reconciling accounts and statements.
  • Preparing Payment runs for approval.
  • Accounts administration - setting up new suppliers and customers, reviewing employee expense claim forms, performing credit checks, allocating cash receipts and payments.
  • Business partnering with the wider business.
  • Performing reconciliations, identifying, and correcting errors, checking invoices.
  • Prepping and providing invoice documentation required for VAT returns.
  • Data entry
  • General accounts Administration.
  • Credit Control

This will be an interesting role providing significant opportunity for the candidate to gain exposure.
