A leading professional services company in central Manchester are seeking a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis covering maternity leave to lead on Engagement and Planning. This role is ideal for a DE&I specialist or a communications and engagement specialist with DE&I experience. The successful candidate will implement and manage a comprehensive engagement plan that aligns with the firm's DE&I vision, values, and strategy, ensuring effective communication and high standards of delivery.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage the DE&I Engagement plan, collaborating closely with the Communications and Responsible Business teams, and international People Networks.
  • Ensure alignment between people network communication plans and the DE&I engagement plan to foster engagement around DE&I.
  • Take accountability for the practical implementation and rollout of plans, evaluating critical success factors.
  • Manage the International DE&I intranet site, encouraging updates and engagement with DE&I initiatives.
  • Produce internal DE&I news, videos, presentations, and other content, including copywriting, editing, proofreading, and coordination with external design agencies.
  • Integrate with digital, social, and PR plans, ensuring brand alignment.
  • Lead on the delivery of DE&I reporting and insights.
  • Support people networks with benchmarking communications activity.
  • Draft and submit DE&I awards entries and coordinate applications for regional DE&I awards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable track record in delivering effective communications.
  • Experience with intranets and social channels.
  • Proven ability to support and implement firm-wide projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to multitask and manage conflicting timescales and multiple priorities in a robust and fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence in working with and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Budget and supplier management responsibility.
  • Genuine passion and enthusiasm for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Cultural curiosity and competence, alignment with the firm's objectives and values.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and fluency in English.
  • Empathy, discretion, and sensitivity in communication.
  • Working knowledge of DE&I best practices, reporting, and linkages to HR practices.
