Job Title: Management Accountant

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)

About the Job:
In this role, you will provide essential support to the Managing Director, combining financial accounting with management reporting and commercial analysis. Your responsibilities will include overseeing financial transactions, ensuring accurate reporting, and contributing to the company's growth through detailed analysis and process improvement.
Duties will include:
- Recording and reporting financial transactions, ensuring accuracy with the support of the Admin Assistant.
- Managing project-based costs and revenues to report profitability.
- Operating credit control processes to maximise cash collections.
- Preparing and processing payment runs for approval by the CEO.
- Conducting monthly close processes, including bank reconciliations and journal processing.
- Assisting with cash flow monitoring, forecasting, and VAT return preparation.
- Supporting external accountants in producing annual financial statements and tax returns.
- Implementing a new accounting system to improve reporting and business visibility.
- Collaborating closely with the MD on performance reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Managing data quality within the accounting system and supporting ad-hoc projects.
About the Successful Applicant:
The ideal candidate will be a part or fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with at least three years of experience. They should possess strong reconciliation and analysis skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and excellent communication abilities. A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive nature, along with a desire to learn and develop, is essential.
