MLK Education Search are actively seeking a highly motivated PA to join an independent school based in Barnet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • First-Line Contact: Act as the first-line of contact for the Head, using discretion and tact to ensure telephone callers and visitors receive a professional response and are directed to the appropriate person.
  • Visitor Management: Welcome visitors on behalf of the Head, offer refreshments where appropriate, and support the Admissions Department in managing the Head's interviews with prospective parents.
  • Office Administration: Assist the Head in maintaining the smooth running of the Head's office by handling all administrative functions, anticipating and scheduling regular events and meetings.
  • Event Administration: Manage the administration of "coffee mornings" with the Head for current and prospective parents.
  • Diary Management: Provide diary management and associated administrative and secretarial support for the Head, ensuring all tasks are completed with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Correspondence: Draft replies to routine correspondence for the Head and assist with correspondence for the Bursar as required.
  • Meeting Support: Support the Bursar with administration related to board meetings and other meetings, including preparation of meeting rooms, collation of papers, and minute taking.
  • Project Work: Undertake ad-hoc project work to support the Head and Bursar.
  • Communication: Assist with issuing communications to parents via iSAMS where required and ensure copies are retained and filed in accordance with school procedures.
  • PTA Support: Support the Mount House PTA by organizing meetings and events, preparing meeting packs, corresponding with staff on their behalf, and managing their licenses.
  • Calendar Management: Manage the school calendar, ensuring relevant people are aware of any changes or updates to schedules.
  • Event Support: Support relevant departments and the catering team with planned events, which may require working outside of normal hours, such as Open Days and Parents' Evenings.
  • Admissions Support: Support the Admissions Department as required.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
