Partner Financial are working with a FTSE 100, multinational consumer business with a turnover in the billions. The business is experiencing a changing market dynamic which needs constant attention. Providing services to multiple companies globally, they have revolutionised the sector with a continued focus on their clients and product offering.
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the successful candidate will handle technical accounting analysis on emerging matters within the Group and be responsible for the preparation of comprehensive Group financial information and associated disclosures.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing, review, and consolidate Group financial information for external disclosures, including results releases and financing materials.
- Consolidating the Group cash flow statement, ensuring consistent classification and adherence to accounting standards and best practices.
- Engaging with the Group's auditor on technical accounting issues and assigned financial statement notes
- Preparing IFRS accounting analysis and assess the impact of queries arising within the Group.
- Researching and analysing the impact of new accounting standards in collaboration with senior finance colleagues.
- Collaborating with senior finance colleagues across the Group to deliver finance training
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the ongoing review and understanding of the Group's financial performance.
The ideal candidate:
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Able to deliver with exceptional levels of accuracy, placing a high regard on achieving excellence
- Proven experience in a group function of a listed company will be advantageous
- A natural team player with well-developed interpersonal skills, able to promote good team working and co-operation
- An inquisitive mind-set that continuously challenges and seeks process improvement
