to join their team based in London.

PAY RATE: £36 - £38 per hour

WORK TYPE: Temporary

JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Team Manager (Mental Health) supports the Team Manager in managing and leading the team, ensuring the delivery of a high quality, effective and efficient, person-centred service for adults with mental health social care needs and their carers. This includes the supervision of social workers and community support workers within the service and acting a Safeguarding Adult Manager (SAM).

The role provides leadership professional supervision to practitioners in the team to provide direction, maintain practice standards and promote continuous professional development.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • To manage the Mental Health Social Care Duty Team

To supervise and support social workers and social care assistant on duty

  • To manage the duty email and give directions to staff
  • To give staff directions on screening the cases on Mosaic
  • To give SAM (safeguarding adult manager) directions and record them on the client's file on case note
  • To provide supervision to duty staff when required
  • To give update and duty progression to the team manager and senior managers
  • To attend team meetings in the office face to face twice a month.

Attending SAM meeting once a month
Attending ATM and Seniors duty meeting once a month
Attending panel when duty takes any case to panel
Attending managers meeting
Liaising with other teams and professionals and hospitals staff.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

  • Demonstrable post qualification experience of working in a statutory Social Care or Health setting with adults
  • Experience of managing and motivating staff including providing professional supervision and day to day management of a team
  • Experience of working in partnership with Health, voluntary agencies and private providers and to contribute to the development of joint initiatives
