Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a global heavy manufacturing business to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join their facility in North Lincolnshire.

Salary:

  • £47,500

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Friday
  • Week 1, Week 2 and Week 3 – 6am-3pm
  • Week 4 – 8am-5pm

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is a 75% supervisory 25% hands on role. Responsible for a designated plant area & equipment ensuring that it is serviced in accordance with the planned preventative maintenance schedules and process plant downtime is kept to a minimum through proactive maintenance.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor include:

  • Responsible for an area of the plant, supervising a team of up to 12 mechanical maintenance engineers
  • Day to day management of the team in providing front line maintenance support to the site
  • Supervise and/or carry out routine/preventative and reactive maintenance on all mechanical aspects of the process plant
  • Assist with the creation and management of risk assessments, method statements & safe systems of work
  • Ensure that all works are carried out to a high standard as expected across the site
  • To prepare work specifications, drawings (if available) and all other contract documents for operatives and contractors
  • Communicate with the Site Supervisors on repairs and completion dates
  • Maintain accurately and effectively all necessary files/records
  • Leadership, coaching and development of the mechanical maintenance team including apprentices
  • Part of Call out rota and covering absences in other areas of the site

We are interested in speaking with Mechanical Maintenance Supervisors with the following:

  • HNC/D in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of Conveyor Systems, Crushers, Screens, Pneumatic & Hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Ability to Work at Height and in Confined Spaces with relevant training provided
  • IOSH Managing Safely certificate
  • Supervisory experience dealing with the control and management of personnel in a maintenance environment including contract labour
  • CompEx Trained
  • Computer literate, with a good working knowledge of MS Office packages
