Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children Residential Support Worker to join our team in Crewe. The successful candidate will work with children who have emotional behaviour disorders and challenging behaviour, providing them with the support and care they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day care and support to children with emotional behaviour disorders and challenging behaviour.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for the children.
  • Assist with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities.
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using appropriate techniques and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, therapists, and educators.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with children with emotional behaviour disorders and challenging behaviour is essential.
  • A relevant qualification in social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
