Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is a worldwide leading manufacturer of filtration products located in the Heart of Stoke on Trent. They are currently seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take full control of projects from the handover of the contract specification through to the design, approval, and monitoring of the build. Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting all aspects of mechanical design drawing, including concept outline and detail production.
Ensuring that products are in line with current legislative requirements, such as C.E, HSE, etc.
Specifying products and components for purchase.
Providing sales, workshop, technical, and site technical support.
Liaising with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Maintaining standards with engineering and contracts execution.
Providing support to aftermarket sales, including data entry.
Working closely with the client to ensure the project meets its expected return.

Requirements:

Commitment, drive, and enthusiasm, with a business-focused mindset.
Previous experience in design, mechanical engineering, and AutoCAD within the engineering field.
Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor design package, knowledge of pressure filtration and industrial processes is preferred, but training can be provided.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have a valid driving licence.

Our client offers a competitive salary of £30-33K dependent on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and a friendly working environment. This is a full-time position with working hours from 8.30 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
