We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity to join our Multi-Academy Trust as a Finance Officer on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone who is ready to take on a varied and hands-on finance position, helping to streamline and enhance our financial operations across the trust.

In this Finance Officer role, you will:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial processes, including journal entries, purchase orders, and requisitions. You'll also take the lead on month-end activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Work with our cloud-based, automated finance systems, focusing on maintaining efficiency and accuracy while leveraging technology to minimise manual tasks.
  • Engage in broader responsibilities such as VAT returns, PAYE, payroll, and support for accounts payable and receivable. This is a role that offers variety and the opportunity to grow your expertise.
  • Provide financial support across our Multi-Academy Trust, contributing to the financial health and consistency of all our schools.

The successful candidate will be:

  • A skilled Finance Officer with a broad understanding of finance functions, ideally with at least three years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experienced working within the education or charity sectors.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines with precision.
  • Ideally, AAT Level 4 qualified or hold equivalent experience in finance.
