Excellent opportunity on offer for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the marine, off-grid and specialist vehicle industries to join an exceptional company at a very exciting time in their growth in a role where you will deliver high quality design and engineering solutions to a global client base in a varied & interesting role.
In this role you will provide mechanical engineering expertise to develop a wide range of equipment and machinery for a range of interesting projects.
The ideal candidate will have limited yet, previous experience designing mechanical and electrical equipment & compiling design engineering calculations.

The role:
- Using design briefs to develop solutions and progress into manufacturing drawings.
- Using Inventor and Fusion to design custom steel enclosures for the hybrid product range.
- Designing control panels and associated graphics for client projects.
- Working with suppliers to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost effective.
- Managing the drawing and revision system while creating parts on the MRP system.
The person:
- Have previous experience in a junior role designing mechanical electrical equipment; beneficial to be from a marine, off-grid or specialist vehicle background.
- Proven experience with CAD software.
- Client facing and comfortable discussing projects with clients and customers.
- Looking for a role that offers career development & progression.
- Located or commutable to Rochester and then Aylesford.
