Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly management accounts process for UK Defence Aerospace programmes, including journal entries, actuals, forecasts, commentaries, and variance analysis.
- Deliver financial recommendations to enhance programme performance.
- Conduct monthly Balance Sheet reviews, validating movements and closing control items.
- Lead the forecasting process for timely and accurate revenue, cash flow, and profit projections, with comprehensive commentary.
- Collaborate with Programme, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Pricing teams to facilitate the annual budgeting process and cash forecasting.
- Manage the monthly Ops and Threat process.
- Hold regular review meetings with budget holders and Programme Teams, addressing commercial issues and contract pricing queries.
- Serve as the primary contact for external audit queries, providing timely responses and developing effective remedial controls.
- Interpret client contracts to identify financial risks and opportunities, presenting feedback to Programme Teams.
- Prepare and present financial summaries for Long Term Contract Reviews.
Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with a degree-level education.
- Strong SAP and Excel proficiency.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of sharing financial insights across all levels of the organization.
- Strong prioritisation and self-management abilities, with experience in meeting internal and external reporting deadlines.
- Business partnering experience, with the ability to challenge established practices, is highly desirable.
- Customer-focused with a proven ability to influence and drive performance in a corporate setting.
