Top 100 Accountancy practice are looking for a VAT Trainee for the London office.
This role involves working with experienced VAT and tax professionals, with full study support for ATT and CTA qualifications. The ideal candidate is commercially minded, flexible, and professional, with the ability to build credibility with clients and principals.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare VAT summaries and submit VAT returns.
- Assist with VAT registration applications.
- Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs on VAT matters.
- General VAT compliance assistance.
- Handle VAT registration and deregistration, option to tax, partial exemption, VAT audits, special schemes, and place of supply issues.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent grammar, numerical skills, and attention to detail.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Clear and confident communication.
- Self-motivated to complete qualifications.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proactive and takes ownership of tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
