Meadow Lodge comprises of 20 self-contained flats. We support customers from multiple-disadvantaged backgrounds; such as long term homelessness, mental health; substance misuse, and social isolation.

Our Housing and Wellbeing Officers are responsible for working with customers to promote and maximise their independence; assisting them to move on to greater self-reliance within a supported environment, and into the communities in which we live.

As a new initiative, in order to enhance our current provision and ensure our customers are receiving a consistent and high level of support, we are now looking for a Housing and Wellbeing Officer to cover Saturday, Sunday and Monday, working hand in hand with wider team and external stakeholders.

Who we are looking for:

  • You will be a flexible and dedicated team member who has a desire to deliver high quality services in line with the Independence and Wellbeing framework and principles.
  • You will have experience of ensuring customers receive a high quality and responsive tenancy management service, in a safe and secure environment.
  • Using a trauma informed approach, you will assist customers to sustain their tenancies, live independently, build self-reliance and encourage them to achieve their goals.
  • You have an ability to engage customers, both within our schemes and the communities which we live, ultimately promoting their strengths; resulting in the confidence to move on and live independently.
  • As a Housing and Wellbeing Officer, you will be able to advise our customers how to access services within the wider community.
  • You will have a good understanding of Safeguarding; ensuring concerns are dealt with promptly and in line with policies and procedures.
  • Using a multi-agency approach, you will ensure appropriate action is taken to adequately manage any presenting risks.
  • You will undertake all aspects of allocations and letting processes; including working with referring agencies to promote the service externally.
  • You will have an excellent understanding of tenancy management; including managing voids, reporting repairs / maintenance, rents, aids and adaptations, ASB, challenging behaviour and breaches of occupancy agreements.
  • You will have a person centred approach and a strong ability to understand complex situations, with the knowledge base to access relevant support services.

What you need:

Knowledge of Housing Management.

  • Experience of using a strength based approach to assist customers to achieve their goals. .
  • Experience of supporting customers to move on from supported accommodation to maintain a home.
  • Experience of supporting customers with multiple, complex needs.
  • Housing Management Knowledge
  • High levels of resilience with a positive approach.
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment, with a proven ability of delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • Experience of administration and recording, with an in depth understanding of confidentiality.
  • Ability to engage and to build relationships with partner agencies and external stakeholders, utilising a multi-agency approach to support.
  • Ability to act as an Ambassador for Great Places and the service.
  • Experience of implementing safeguarding procedures to protect vulnerable people.
  • Demonstrable coaching skills in promoting independence.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office applications, with a good level of IT literacy.
