Payroll & People Advisor - HMRC Statutory Absence Legislation
5 Month Contract - Full Time
£25,000 - £29,000
Location: Chelmsford - 1 days a week in the office, rest of the week WFH
A local council are searching for a Payroll & People Advisor with a strong understanding of HMRC statutory absence legislation, also knowledge of tax, national insurance, LGPS and Teachers pension regulation contributions and system knowledge to undertake user acceptance testing
Responsibilities:
You will provide a high-quality payroll and a customer focused transactional service. Using a depth of business knowledge in dealing with a high volume transactions and working to strict deadlines. With responsibility for resolving payroll queries and performing processing role within one or more payroll disciplines.
- Ensuring data is inputted correctly to ensure payments are deductions are correctly administered
- Responsible for processing payroll to employees and third parties
- Resolving any complex payroll queries
- Support the requirements for ensuring the security of personal information
- Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation
- Provide support and advice on all payroll matters
- AD-hoc duties
Your Experience;
- strong understanding of HMRC statutory legislations with knowledge of tax, NI, LGPS
- Good working knowledge of payroll processing
