Adecco are currently recruiting an experienced L&D Consultant on behalf of our Public Sector client.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that align workforce with key business strategies and initiatives.

You will be expected to support managers to ensure they have appropriate performance management approaches in place to support and improve their staff as well as support organisational effectiveness to deliver and demonstrate improved outcomes for the people in the Division and value for money for the service.

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Detailed knowledge of learning and development professional standards and good practice
  • Understand and has applied the learning cycle and understands the importance of adapting to needs of individuals
  • Demonstrates an understanding of theory and practice of leadership and management and ability to describe the practical application of leadership skills
  • Detailed knowledge of Housing. This includes a good grasp of the legislation , guidance and the required practice standards
  • Ability to design clear procedures and work instructions
  • Ability to research, design, develop and evaluate learning interventions, programmes and project
  • Demonstrates excellent presentation skills and designs learning interventions to meet the requirements of all learning styles
  • Experience of planning and delivering learning through coaching, mentoring or presentations with effective learning outcomes
  • Experience of researching, designing and delivering learning programmes
  • Experience of analysing and monitoring learning needs and advising managers on appropriate learning interventions for their staff
  • Experience of using feedback from learners and managers to adapt and improve learning solutions
  • Experience of coaching managers on improving their delivery of personal development & competency
