This is a unique opportunity to oversee the management of fresh, modern facilities in their infancy. There is scope to establish facility management processes and a key area of development is ensuring the building's energy consumption is as efficient as possible.

The facilities manager is responsible for the security, functioning, legal compliance and general appearance of the buildings. You will be based on the site, supervising 2 full time caretakers.

You will plan and prioritise your own workload and be able to provide adequate cover for out of hours lets, holidays, out of hours and emergency call out where required

The ideal candidate will have a background as a facilities manager or site manager who has worked in a school but other backgrounds will be considered.

The role

  • To ensure the effective and safe operation of the Trinity Academy site including grounds, buildings and facilities.
  • Ensure the security of the buildings and grounds, and the safe and efficient operation of all site facilities, including safeguarding students, staff, visitors and contractors as a priority at all times
  • Maintain the organisation as a high quality and safe environment for the education of young people.
  • Ensure all statutory and health and safety obligations and compliance are met as required; maintain records of health and safety monitoring.
  • Monitor the level of energy consumption across the Trinity Academy site, consider ways to reduce consumption and ensuring that the school uses energy as efficiently as possible.

The person

  • Have a facilities management backgrounds from a school or hospital.
  • Live commutable to the North Bristol Area.
  • Good people management skills
