Graduate Software Developer

Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance and a demonstrable passion for web development and software engineering.

Technical Skills:

  • Fundamental knowledge of Python and Django for web application development.
  • Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
  • Familiarity with developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
  • Basic proficiency in working with databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Technical Skills:

While not mandatory, experience or coursework in the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Progressive Web Applications (PWA)
  • Advanced HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks
  • Google Chrome OS development
  • Database management systems including MongoDB and MySQL
  • Familiarity with tools such as Bitbucket, Jira, PyCharm, WebStorm
  • Experience or interest in eLearning software, learning management systems, SCORM, and xAPI standards
