The Recruitment Co are looking for a Production Manager to join a growing fabrication company in Barnsley, within this role you will be overseeing the day to day activities of the workshop, whilst also managing a team of fabricators. What you can expect in this role:
- Supervise and lead a team of production workers, welders, fabricators, and other staff.
- Ensuring Production levels are maintained.
- Ensuring a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct inspections and tests on finished products to identify defects
- Ensure adequate inventory levels of raw materials and components.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadline
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance production efficiency.
What we need from you:
- Proven experience as a Production Manager.
- Fabrication Background (Essential)
- Ability to read drawings.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to unite a team to achieve a shared goal
- Able to identify cost saving opportunities and implement them into the workshop.
- Knowledge of welding safety practices.
What we can offer you:
- A Salary of £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
- A permanent role, with 37.5 hours a week
