Role: Private Client Tax & Estates Solicitor
Experienced or PQE: 4 years PQE upwards
Location: Stratford-Upon-Avon
Salary: DOE £45,000 - £60,000
Benefits: Hybrid working, Full caseload, Progression available
Here at Simpson Judge we are looking to speak with experienced Private Client Executives or Solicitors who have prior hands on experience of dealing with intricate Tax and Estate matters, on behalf of High Net Worth to Ultra High Net work individuals and their families.
In this role you would be working with a variety of clients but with more of a focus on affluential individuals, with a variety assets they wish to protect and so forth.
Ideally you as an individual will have the following characteristics:
- Over 5 years PQE.
- Ability to work to deadlines/prioritise work/manage a varied caseload.
- Ability to work in a team and on own initiative.
- Strong legal skills and an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
You will also have the following experience:
- Running a complex caseload of high net worth estates.
- Knowledge of APR/BPR and other IHT reliefs/exemptions.
- Knowledge in dealing with foreign assets/reseals of grants etc.
- Comprehensive understanding of the preparation of IHT returns and estate accounts.
- Strong knowledge of post-death tax planning/restructuring.
- Knowledge of lifetime gifts, effect on death.
- Knowledge of settled property and aggregable assets.
- Knowledge of grossing up for IHT purposes.
