Document Controller

Our client is a reputable construction company with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled Document Controller to join our team.
Role Summary: The Document Controller will play a crucial role in managing all aspects related to document control within our construction projects. You'll be responsible for coordinating technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Input document data into standard registers, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Distribute controlled copies of approved documents and drawings to relevant staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Maintain documents and drawings securely in the document control office.
  • Issue and receive controlled documentation, log transactions, and create electronic transmittals.
  • Assist with quality checks and audits of document databases.
  • Handle routine administrative tasks related to document management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Document Control.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and electronic document management systems.
  • Strong record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Salary and Hours:

  • Hourly rate: £16.39 per hour (PAYE) - depending on experience
  • Full-time position (Monday to Friday)
  • Annual salary equivalent: £23 - 28k
