Financial Accountant

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team, reporting to the Head of Finance Transformation. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy of financial accounts and controlling balance sheet reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be part-qualified in a professional accounting qualification and have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance team.
Day to Day of the role:
- Reconcile balance control accounts to a month-end timetable.
- Process and reconcile corporate credit card accounts, working with the senior management team.
- Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
- Develop and implement financial control processes in collaboration with the Head of Finance Transformation and Finance Manager.
- Assist in the transformation from interim finance systems to a permanent integrated solution.
- Support the finance team by developing and delivering corporate KPI reporting and risk registers.
- Respond to ad hoc report and inquiry requests relating to financial reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Part qualification of a professional accounting qualification (CCAB, or equivalent) and evidence of ongoing CPD.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance team with financial accounting knowledge.
- Proven track record of managing month-end accounts processes.
- Experience in report writing and understanding of fund accounting.
- Familiarity with UK accounting standards and building strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- IT literate with the ability to analyse data and extract and use trends.
- Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
