We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer based in Castleford for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client are manufacturers, suppliers and repairers of pumps for the industrial sectors.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer
- Mechanical design of products and pump assemblies.
- Create and maintain detailed GA/assembly/component drawings and bills of materials.
- Manage the contract management process.
- Project planning and cost control.
- Carry out site surveys.
- Provide technical support.
Requirements for a successful Mechanical Design Engineer
- Qualified HNC/HND in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical rotating equipment & design.
- Proven experience and working knowledge of CAD, 3D modelling and SolidWorks.
- Experience of revision controlled drawings and transmission of specifications.
- Project management and bills of materials experience.
- Experience of working with fabrications, materials and processes.
- Strong analytical skills with ERP systems experience.

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000

Hours: 37.5 hours Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 1:30pm
