Your new role
Solihull Council Adult Services are looking for an experienced qualified Social Worker for their Peripatetic Team/CHC Team. Peripatetic social workers work across all settings, with adults of working age and older adults who may need support because of physical or learning disabilities, mental health or those with dementia, in multidisciplinary teams alongside a strong voluntary sector. You will have a strong background in
Multidisciplinary settings, the ability to work independently, and a comprehensive understanding of the CHC framework, the Care Act, and the ability to conduct face-to-face assessments and reviews with a person-centred and strength-based focus.
Hybrid - 1 day required in the office.
This is an essential car user role.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position you need:
- Must have 1-2 years post-qualified experience as a Children's Social Worker and hold a Social work qualification in either BA Social work, CQSW, DipSW, CCS or CCETSW
- Preferable experience in Children's Disability Team
- Must have completed ASYE
- Enhanced DBS check
- Car Driver
