About the Role:
As an Autism Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting primary students in year 4, 5 & 6 with ASD. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting students to engage in lessons.
- Conducting sensory activities like 'bucket time'
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour interventions
- Encouraging social interactions among students
- Collaborating with the sensory, speech, and language support team to plan and implement interventions.
- In the morning you will be working 1:1 with a student in year with ADHD and Dyslexia. In the afternoons you will be required to lead Lego therapy sessions to students in years 5&6.
- This full-time role offers a Monday to Friday schedule, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm during term times.
