About the Role:
Tradewind is working a secondary school located in Rotherham, that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join their team starting in September 2024. This school is renowned for its supportive and stimulating environment, fostering creativity, academic excellence, and a passion for lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach A-Level.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Art curriculum.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, exhibitions, and school events.
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom, adhering to school policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Art or a related field.
- Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential; applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) are welcome.
- Strong knowledge of the Art curriculum and current educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and contribution to the wider school community.
