Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Process Engineering Manager is responsible for coordinating activities within the Process Engineering team and providing front line ‘hands-on' engineering support to the Operations Department. In addition, the Process Engineering Manager has day-to-day responsibility for our clients production and test processes, including calibration, and for the introduction of new products into production.

About you:

The successful Process Engineering Manager will ideally be degree educated or equivalent in a relevant Engineering Discipline and will hold proven experience in the below areas.

Manufacturing Experience

  • Prior experience of working within a production and testing environment (manufacturing processes can be automated, however manual processes would be beneficial).

Process

  • Investigate quality and process issues, work with the team to understand the cause of the issues and work to find a suitable resolution. Maintenance Manage the maintenance of equipment.

Team Management

  • Prior experience of managing and being accountable for a team. Is approachable and able to support team members to resolve any issues or concerns.

Resource Allocation

  • Proven experience of effectively allocating tasks within the team, this could include short term and long-term projects, and smaller maintenance, considering the individual requirements, timescales, and strengths of the team.

Team Development

  • Previous experience of managing and developing a team to meet both the organisational and individual objectives and goals.

Proactive

  • Able to be proactive as well as reactive to issues. Experience of planning capacity in order to meet future requirements.

Communication

  • Confident with communicating and interacting with different departments to understand their requirements

Our client is offering an excellent salary of £56,000 - £59,000 depending on experience. In addition, the role is eligible for a discretionary profit share bonus which will be at the absolute discretion of the company. Holiday entitlement is 27 days plus bank holidays. The holiday year runs from 1st July to 30th June.
