Company Overview

Our client is a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) dedicated to delivering exceptional IT support and solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. As they continue to expand, they're looking for an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their team and play a key role in delivering exceptional IT support, assisting with exciting projects and upgrading clients' IT infrastructure.

The Role

As a 3rd Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support, delivering infrastructure projects for clients, and acting as the senior escalation point. You will work across a variety of environments, providing infrastructure solutions that include servers, cloud, networks, backups, and telephony services. This is a hands-on role with a focus on delivering a wide range of complex rollout, refresh, and upgrade projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for server, network, and cloud infrastructure across multiple client sites.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
  • Manage installations, upgrades, and migrations of client IT systems.
  • Monitor system performance, ensuring reliability, security, and high availability.
  • Implement infrastructure solutions that meet client needs, including on-premise, cloud, and hybrid setups.
  • Assist with management & support of firewalls, backups, and disaster recovery.
  • Document IT processes, configurations, and support procedures.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to provide proactive and reactive support, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Mentor and lead a 1st Line Support Engineer

Technical Requirements

  • MSP experience
  • Windows Servers, Active Directory, and VMware (or Hyper-V)
  • Firewalls, switches, VPNs, and wireless networks.
  • Microsoft Azure and Office 365 (Exchange Online)
  • VEEAM, or similar backup technologies
  • Intune or Autopilot
  • SharePoint / Teams / OneDrive
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
