About Us:
We are a leading manufacturer of gearboxes for large commercial vehicles, known for delivering high-quality, durable products. We are currently seeking an experienced General Machinist to join our dynamic team in a manual machine shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain manual machining tools including surface grinders, radial drillers, and lathes.
  • Perform turning and welding tasks as required.
  • Ensure precision and accuracy in machining and surface grinding processes.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient and productive work environment.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a manual machine shop.
  • Proven experience in welding, surface grinding, turning, and working with radial drillers.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of safety practices and procedures in a machine shop environment.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £26,000 - £29,000, dependent on experience.
